Companies built empires by harnessing our data—our clicks, searches, and interactions—to decode consumer behavior, political leanings, and cultural trends. Every piece of personal data holds tangible, variable value. Historically, human value often stemmed from mastering specific datasets—think of a teacher whose expertise was recognized, perhaps amplified by an Ivy League school signaling mastery of a valuable knowledge set. Over the next two to seven years, the human "dataset" faces competition. Something that was incomprehensible to most five years ago.
